The Apline road is an amazing route which takes you up to the glacial 'tongue'. Guided coach tours up to the glacier are available to book in resort

Werfen Castle

This day trip is Jamie's personal favourite - Built in the 11th Century, this medieval castle has a fascinating history. Originally a taxes and tolls office, it grew to it current size through many transformations. The Castle has been plagued by war, fire and has been rebuilt three times!!!

The castle has featured in several films, including the well known 'Where eagles dare'. The day includes a guided English speaking tour around the castle grounds, a visit to the bell tower, torture chambers, weapons exhibition, fully restored bed chamber, and birds of prey museum. The ground keepers host various shows and games to join in throughout the day. A birds of prey and falconry display takes place daily at 3pm in the castle gardens. This is NOT TO BE MISSED!
